The Differentiation Trick
Three reading levels · One topic · Eight minutes
1:15

How it works

Three steps. Eight minutes. Zero formatting.

Draft a lesson plan

Pick the skill, level, topic and how long the lesson runs. Tell us about the group if you want: how many learners, how many are EAL, who needs extra support. In about half a minute you have a plan with learning intentions, a lesson structure, vocabulary and the resources you'll need.

Create the materials from the plan

From that plan, make the worksheets, activity packs, slides and participation evidence you need. Everything stays attached to the plan, so when you come back to it next term it is all in one place.

Make it your own and teach

Read it through. Change a sentence so it sounds like you. Adjust the timing for your class. Make a mixed-level version when your group spans levels. Editing is always free. Only the first draft uses credits.

An educator's Tuesday

Same lesson. Three reading levels. Eight minutes.

Differentiation for mixed-level classes

Karen's at Level 1, Rashid's at Level 2, Tess is at Level 3. Same payslip, pitched right for each.

You've got a reading group where learners sit anywhere from Level 1 to Level 3, all working on the same topic. Turning one worksheet into three versions usually takes the best part of an hour. Instead, you write the lesson plan once and ask for a mixed-level version. You get the same task at each level, a simple rotation for the groups, and participation evidence for each one. Read it over, change a sentence or two so it fits your learners, and print.

Skill: Reading Levels: L1, L2 and L3 Cost: 3 credits (about 45c) Time saved: around 80 minutes

The Tuesday morning rescue

It's 8:47am. Class is at 9. You've got nothing.

Yesterday's class ran over and you never got to your prep. It is 8:47, your Level 1 reading group is at 9, and you have nothing ready. You type one line: "L1 reading, family, 50 min". By 8:49 you have a full lesson plan with intentions, vocabulary, structure, resources and EAL notes. Click "Generate the activity pack" and by 8:53 there is a scaffolded pack ready to print. You walk in ready, not flustered.

Skill: Reading Level: L1 Cost: 1 lesson plan + 1 activity pack = 6 credits (about 90c) Time saved: 60 to 90 minutes

The compliance bundle

Twelve apprentices, mixed levels, audit folder closes Wednesday.

You are the compliance manager and a new apprentice group starts Friday: twelve of them, numeracy levels all over the place. You write one lesson plan, then make a mixed-level version. That gives you three groups at Levels 1, 2 and 3, with a rotation, exit questions, and participation evidence for each group, ACSF-tagged and timestamped for the audit folder. Your trainers add the workplace examples in the editor before they print.

Skill: Numeracy Levels: L1, L2 and L3 Cost: 1 lesson plan + 1 mixed-level set = 6 credits (about 90c) Time saved: Two days

"You stay in charge of every word."

We built LLND Studio because educators were burning evenings on tasks that don't need an educator: formatting Word docs, finding images, creating appropriate level texts and reshaping one lesson into three for a mixed-level group. The differentiation application drafts a single scenario at multiple levels simultaneously, so a mixed group of L1, L2 and L3 learners can work on the same topic at the right stretch. Every field is editable, every edit is free, and your voice always overrides the draft.

Your library stays private.

LLND Studio never uses your generations for any kind of model training, never shares them with any third party, never accesses them for any purpose other than your own use. Your activities are yours forever. Hosted on AWS Sydney. Encrypted at rest and in transit. Read more in our privacy policy.

Frequently asked

The questions educators ask before they sign up.

How do lesson plans work?
Tell us what you're teaching (skill, level, topic, duration). In about 15 to 30 seconds you get a structured lesson plan with learning intentions, prior knowledge, key vocabulary, a five-phase lesson structure, differentiation suggestions, resources required, EAL support and participation evidence to collect. From the plan, you can create the worksheets, activity packs, slides and evidence sheets you need. Everything stays linked to the parent plan.
Does it cover all the core skills?
Yes. Reading, Writing, Oral Communication, Numeracy, Learning across Pre Level through Level 3, plus Digital Literacy on the DLSF framework.
Reading Writing Oral comm Numeracy Learning Digital
Can I differentiate for mixed-level classes?
Yes, that is what mixed-level is for. From a lesson plan, click Make it mixed-level and pick which levels your group needs (Lower, At level, Higher). You get the same scenario written at each level, with a rotation for the groups and participation evidence for each one. Three credits flat, however many levels you pick.
Can I make slides?
Yes. From a lesson plan, click Add slides and get a deck of 8 to 15 slides (count scales with lesson duration) across seven layout types: title, content, quote, visual, two-column, data and closing. Each slide has speaker notes for presenter mode. View in the browser presenter, print to PDF, or fullscreen for projecting in class. Three credits.
Can I use these for ACSF assessment?
Here at LLND Studio we feel the focus on assessment in our sector can impact learning, so LLND Studio creates learning activities, not assessment instruments. For upfront, or initial assessment, of LLND levels, our sister product handles that side.
What's a participation evidence sheet?
A printable, session-level sheet that lists what to observe and collect during the class: photos of completed work, observation notes, learner portfolio examples, brief verbal contributions. Designed for government program and RTO audit folders. Formative, not graded. Tick items as you go, write learner names at the top of each column, print or save as PDF. Free, no credits.
What do credit top-ups cost?
30 credits for $5, or $4.50 on auto top-up (10% off). That's roughly 10 activity packs, 10 mixed-level group sets or 10 slide decks, in any mix. Your Educator plan already includes 60 credits a month, and worksheets never use credits on paid plans.

Every plan also includes monthly access to our growing library of over 1,700 pre-built activities, with more added regularly, and the classic worksheet generator is unlimited and never uses credits.
Can I edit the output?
Always. Every section of every activity is editable in-place in the app: rewrite a sentence, adjust the time, add a step, swap vocabulary. All free, no extra credits. You can also download the raw HTML and edit it directly if you know your way around HTML. Generation costs credits. Editing never does.
Is my content used to train any models?
Never. Your activities and your generations are private and stay private. We don't train models on your content, don't share with third parties, don't use it for any purpose other than your own teaching.
Does it work with my SMS (Wisenet, aXcelerate, VETtrak)?
Not yet. SMS integration with Wisenet, aXcelerate and VETtrak requires partnership agreements between LLND Studio and each provider at the platform level, not the customer level. We're working on these for the RTO tier, but they're not live. In the meantime, you can export every generation as Word, HTML or JSON and bring them into your SMS manually.
What happens to my library if I cancel?
You can export everything as Word documents and HTML files at any time, on any tier. Your activities are yours. Cancel anytime, no exit fee, no lock-in.
